PAUL RIPKE AS A GOLDSMITH IN OUR STUDIO

We got a visit from photographer, podcaster and streetwear designer of the brand “PARI” – Paul Ripke! At the end of June he visited us in our studio.
The meeting with Paul and his whole crew started at Café Bar Rodensteiner with a cheerful and entertaining lunch. Especially the Käsespätzle convinced him. Paul Ripke provided the best entertainment with his open and fun-loving character, as well as his rap skills. After the meal, there was a big dessert for everyone to share.
The managers of Café Bar Rodensteiner, Daniel Widmaier & Patrick Burkhard took some pictures together with Paul and had a long chat with him – especially about the gin.
After lunch we went to our studio, where the camera team shot drone footage of us, the studio and the surrounding area. We presented and designed a custom ID ring with his initials “P and R” for Paul. We came up with other designs as well, resulting in many different sketches. Inspired by the logo of his brand “PARI” we also designed and produced a pendant together.
Of course, Paul was allowed to prove himself as a goldsmith in our studio: at the workbench he was allowed to cut out the template of the cat’s head. Surprisingly, he did well, which is very challenging with a fine saw blade and detailed corners and edges.
At the end of the day, Paul Ripke got to choose a necklace to go with the pendant. We had a very fun and pleasant day, because Paul impressed everyone right from the start with his friendly, open-minded and sympathetic manner. As a present Paul got a Rooftop Bangle, from one of our favorite series, in black matte.
Not only we had the honor to welcome Paul Ripke – among other things he got impressed by the breathtaking 360° panorama of the Great Barrier Reef in the Gasometer and surfed at our neighbors on the blackforestwave directly in the city park.
The journey for Paul continues! Besides Pforzheim, he visited other cities in Baden-Württemberg: Baden-Baden, Heidelberg, Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Mannheim, Stuttgart and Ulm.
